Happy Monday everyone! I just sent an email to your parents that hopefully they received, but just in case they didn't, here is the gist of it. Below are PDF files of a few things. The two that I'd like you to focus on are "Nutrition Review 2020" and "Copy of Disease Final Review" -- while these won't be graded right away, they will be graded eventually as we get closer to the final exam. They are PDF documents that you can either print and write on ( I think is best move ) or copy and paste into a new document to type into. If you have your workbooks these assignments are in the back of the book.
Next week you will have a test on Nutrition, so that review would be a good one to really take your time with! :)
I'll keep this short but just want to say this: be patient with yourselves, your parents, and your teachers during this time. Do your best not to criticize and focus on the flaws but rather on the opportunities. And keep perspective: everyone's health and well-being truly are most important!
If you need anything you know where to find me!

Dear Students,
I truly hope this message finds you well, in good health and in good spirits. It's been a pretty strange week I think so many of us as we come to terms with the reality of this virus we've been spending so much of our class time talking about. I want you to know that everything we talked about was based on what we knew of COVID-19 at the time. There was still so much to be discovered and I was remaining optimistic that the worst speculations wouldn't become the reality. Unfortunately, we now know that we are dealing with something that requires immediate action in order to protect our national health and safety.
It's a solid reminder that health is truly more important than anything! Honor yours by using this time to practice all the self-care possible!
In typical Ms. Carey fashion I have been immersing myself in the latest reliable information on the subject, although it's too soon for documentaries on this or you know I'd be watching that! What I want you to know is that everything that is happening will pass. This is going to undoubtedly leave its mark in history, we will get through this. So I hope you find peace in that fact and that you and your family use this time as an opportunity to enjoy each other and plan for a future better than any of you imagined prior to this outbreak.
I am leaving assignments here for now that are optional. I will say that if you complete these now, you will not have to complete them once we return - and vice versa. If any of you need anything or want to chat, please feel free to email me: [email protected]. Once we know better how we are moving forward I will update things on his page.
Thinking of you all during this time and sending you lots of loving, healthy energy!
